It’s true: professors talk fast and students zone out. With this cool tool, students can record everything they hear so they never miss a word. Well, they can still miss a lot of words, but the pressure’s off when this pen is on. It actually captures words, diagrams, scribbles, symbols and audio – and syncs everything you hear to what you wrote. You have to give it a test drive to really get the feel of it, and when you do, it’s pretty fun. For college students, students with disabilities, K-12 students and anyone taking a class — the smartpen also comes with, that’s right, smart paper. There’s a little bit of magic involved here. And tapping. It’s as if you had a stylus on a touchscreen, but then surprisingly, it’s pen on a paper and, mystically, it works just the same, but with even more freedom and possibilities. For most students these days it will feel very intuitive and practical. For other closer-to-caveman types, it’s just fascinating to use it. The smartpen has really developed its own little technology and learning niche, and today’s tech -savvy students will definitely enjoy it. They also have some rather dramatic videos.
