Trends | Digital Learning Day 2013

Digital Learning Day 2013It’s cool, it’s easy and it’s largely online. Check it out from anywhere you are. Teachers, students and education leaders from around the nation will gather in Washington, D.C. on February 6th, 2013, to participate in the second annual Digital Learning Day. The Alliance for Excellent Education hosts with support from fifty national core partners. The spotlight is on successful instructional technology practice in the classroom. The event includes a national Digital Town Hall broadcast live from the Newseum and simulcast at http://wpc.1806.edgecastcdn.net/001806/aee/dld.html. The Digital Town Hall profiles successful teachers, students, schools, and districts. All fifty states, the District of Columbia, and over 20,000 teachers representing more than four million students have signed up. You too can participate in digital learning activities throughout the day and, of course, even after it’s all done. Arne Duncan will participate as well as Rep. George Miller (committee on Education and the Workforce), Todd Park (U.S. Chief Technology Officer and Assistant to the President), as well as Gov. Bob Wise from Alliance for Excellent Education.
